Store bought granola can contain processed sugars, artificial flavors, and many other ingredients we don't want in our bodies. Granola is surprisingly easy to make and super cheap.
I love it for a snack or to add on as a garnish for foods like coconut yogurt, my daily superfood shake, or dairy free ice cream. Add dried fruit like craisins to a bag of the granola for a perfect blend of sweetness.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups old fashioned whole grain oats
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1/4 cup all natural peanut butter
1/4 cup organic pure maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
A pinch Himalayan sea salt
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix peanut butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
Mix oats and cacao powder in a separate bowl.
Pour peanut butter mixture over oat mixture. Mix until well combined.
Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!
**ALTERNATIVE: Peanut Butter Granola
Just take out the cacao powder. Everything else stays the same.
